Every Saturday – Downtown Hampton Farmer's Market
A bountiful farmer's market held every Saturday (May 9th-Oct 31st)
from 8:00 a.m. - Noon, excluding holidays and certain event weekends.
We throw a fabulous street fair every Saturday night April through August complete with live music, good eats and activities for all. 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Nov. 18 - Mar. 4 - Downtown Hampton on Ice
The Virginia Air & Space Center hosts daily ice skating in an outdoor rink throughout much of the late fall and winter season. Admission is only $7. Located next door! Website.
Nov. 19 - 2nd Annual Hampton Funk Fest
Head to the Hampton Coliseum for an evening of non-stop funk. This year the Hampton Funk Fest features performance by George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Midnight Star and Chuck Brown. Website.
Nov. 26-27 - Southeastern Guns & Knives Show
One of the largest traveling gun shows on the east coast. The Southeastern Guns & Knives Show will make its much-anticipated return to Hampton, VA in November. Website.
Dec. 2-3 - 16th Annual Holiday & Kwanzaa Marketplace
The Hampton University Museum will holds its annual marketplace for holiday and Kwanzaa gifts. Select vendors will be available with hand-crafted items.
Dec. 3 - 23rd Annual Lighted Boat Parade
More than 20 boats will light up the Hampton River in the brilliant colors of the season. Live narration hosted at the Hampton Maritime Center.
Dec. 10 - Hampton Holly Days Parade
Have a sweet time at "Candy Cane Lane" in downtown Hampton, VA. Arrive early to get a great spot for the parade - the peninsula's largest holiday lights parade! Website.
Dec. 30 - 6th Annual New Year's Comedy Explosion
The Hampton Coliseum presents an evening of comedy to help you ring in the New Year. Performances by Jay Anthony Brown, George Wilborn, D. Elli$ and Aries Spears. Website.
Dec. 31 - New Year's Eve with Marcia Ball
The "Queen of Bayou Boogaloo" will deliver another fun, emotional and all-around stunning performance at The American Theatre in honor of the New Year. Website.
Jan. 7 - World Championship Ice Racing
A racing event unlike any other. The world's top professional racers will take to the ice on motorcycles, Nitro X-Karts and quads for one pulse-pounding heat after another. Website.
Jan. 21-22 - Southeastern Guns & Knives Show
One of the largest traveling gun shows on the east coast. The Southeastern Guns & Knives Show will hold a major show in early 2012 at the Hampton Coliseum. Website.
Feb. 23-26 - Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival XXIII
A must for the region's quilters. The Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival combines quilting, fiber arts and wearable arts into an exciting expo where enthusiasts can meet, shop and learn. Hosted at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Website.
Mar. 3 - NASA Engineering Day
The Virginia Air & Space Museum will host exclusive exhibits related to the development and engineering of new space technologies. You might even meet a real astronaut. Kids love it! Website.
Apr. 21 - International Children's Festival
