Hampton, Virginia - a world-class vacation destination

Langley AFB

Convenient Langley Air Force Base Lodging

Hampton, Virginia is known for its rich nautical heritage with a history of pirates and the famous Civil War Battle of the Ironclads. However, with the establishment of Langley Air Force Base in 1916, Hampton has also developed a history at the forefront of aviation, and today the base is one of our proudest landmarks.

Langley Air Force Base

Langley Air Force Base is located just five miles from our fine Hampton, Virginia hotel on the waterfront. Langley AFB is home to the 1st and 192nd Fighter Wings and the 480th Intelligence Wing, as well as the headquarters to Air Combat Command. Because Langley is an active military base, civilian visitation is only permitted during official Langley AFB public events.

AirPower over Hampton Roads
For one weekend every spring, Langley Air Force Base proves its mastery of the skies during the AirPower over Hampton Roads air show. Thousands of locals, families and aviation enthusiasts head to Hampton, Virginia for two and a half days of thrilling flight demonstrations, aerobatics and parachute demonstrations, plus food, live music and good fun for the little ones.

The show dates change every year, but there's one thing that doesn't: the cost. AirPower over Hampton Roads is free to all guests.

Whether attending AirPower over Hampton Roads or seeing a son or daughter off on assignment, Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina is Langley Air Force Base lodging that delivers more value to any guest.
