Langley AFB
Hampton, Virginia is known for its rich nautical heritage with a history of pirates and the famous Civil War Battle of the Ironclads. However, with the establishment of Langley Air Force Base in 1916, Hampton has also developed a history at the forefront of aviation, and today the base is one of our proudest landmarks.
Langley Air Force Base is located just five miles from our fine Hampton, Virginia hotel on the waterfront. Langley AFB is home to the 1st and 192nd Fighter Wings and the 480th Intelligence Wing, as well as the headquarters to Air Combat Command. Because Langley is an active military base, civilian visitation is only permitted during official Langley AFB public events.
